Rosstandart, the agency that deals with standardization, has formed a new committee called “Software and hardware for distributed registry and blockchain technologies.” Representatives of Rosstandart say this will promote wider adoption of the technology and expand the ways in which it can be used.
Standardization concerns blockchain architecture in particular and distributed ledgers in general, application areas, security and privacy requirements, as well as hardware and software requirements. For this purpose, Rosstandart will cooperate with ISO (International Committee for Standardization). The international technical committee that works to standardize blockchain includes 35 countries and is chaired by Australia. This committee has existed since 2016.
