The appointment of David Solomon to the position of chief executive of a large financial conglomerate was first reported from the American daily newspaper The New York Times. A couple of days later, representatives of the investment bank published official confirmation of Solomon’s new appointment. Lloyd Blankfein will transfer his powers to the former chief operating officer, planning to expand the scope of the bank's activities and replenish its portfolio with additional cryptocurrency resources.

According to Solomon, the bank is actively working in relation to exchange derivatives, gradually adapting to the new sphere of financial influence. Goldman Sachs has successfully cleared BTC futures and is in the process of discussing other opportunities. Unlike many Wall Street financiers, Solomon is optimistic about the potential of virtual currencies and occasionally performs as a dance music DJ.
