Among all countries, previously which were part of the Soviet Union, Ukraine became the first country to consider a law on cryptocurrencies. Also, this bill, submitted to the Ukrainian parliament, became one of the first in the world. The deputies began by defining the concept of “cryptocurrency” in the text of the law. Despite the fact that the state intends to regulate the industry and impose taxes on it, no guarantees are provided for participants in the cryptocurrency business.
Taxes are promised to be taken both from mining and from trading operations on cryptocurrency exchanges. At the same time, digital currencies are not considered money, and transactions with them can only be carried out as exchange transactions. Separately, the Ukrainian bill states that the miner has the right to choose the type of cryptocurrency for mining.
